This CMS was built from scratch after years of experience with other content management systems. David has extensive expertise working with Silverstripe, Laravel Nova, Laravel Filament, Statamic, and WordPress Gutenberg. Each of these systems has strengths, but they also have limitations that led to building something new.
Silverstripe offers flexibility but can be complex. Laravel Nova and Filament are powerful admin panels but aren't designed as full CMS solutions. Statamic is excellent but has its own approach that doesn't fit every project. WordPress Gutenberg is widely used but comes with the baggage of WordPress's architecture.
Page Maker CMS takes lessons learned from all of these systems and combines them into a focused, block-based content management system built on Laravel. It's designed to be simple for content editors while giving developers the flexibility they need.
